Ahem, alright, my point is, there's this friend of mine was asking me, "why are you putting up male model instead of a lady?" I said I have none, and I don't really fancy asian ladies. Then along came Liv Tyler and some other more that I was once worship before. I'm talking bout some of the natural beauty. Not powdered face or botox or surgeries. Its all natural people!

Sorry for the whole controversial thingy going on with my blog. Its open to anyone now due to so many of you objected of me doing so. I prefer it this way actually.*

The Sun is blazing. The commotion is crazily insane. I've been facing my notebook for at least 4hours. No car. No money. No activity. No food.
Damn its boring and hot on the Sunday afternoon.
So I decided to bake the simplest cake, a butter cake. Just to simply kill time.
My mom's friends are here, perfect tea time. :D
I still have the touch for baking though its been sometime now.



Mix, stir and basically more mixtures.

See what boredness can actually do to you.



Damn oven, so bloody small. But hey, more than a decade already kayy. Haven't changed it before ever since we owned the house. Old school, classic, whatever it is. As long it works just fine.



And voila. There you have it. Simple butter cake. :D



Ignore that one hole there, I was just checking whether it is done or not. Coz I've forgotten the temperature and time. xD

Have you ever watched a movie that are so heart-warming and touching? Not fictional movies. Movies that are based on true story, or inspired by true story. The ones which really led me teary eyed everytime I watch is Pride. Starring Terrence Howard & Bernie Mac.



This movie is a damn good movie. Its about how swimming change the life of the troubled teens. Changes the perspect the whites towards the blacks in the movie. It's currently aired on Astro, Star Movies. PRIDE, damn good movie. "This is our house coach!"



This movie, is undoubtedly inspiring. I wept everytime when Timo Cruz is punished with 500push ups scene then the whole team stepped up and helped him. "Lose as a team, win as a team." This is one of the famous quotes in the movie other than "What is your gretest fear Mr Cruz?"



Ah. Yes Glory Road. Its about the whites discriminating the blacks in basketball, sets in the year of 1920s. A very supporting wife and family. A certainly must watch.



Then,there is this movie about football. Gridiron Gang. Its about giving second chance to those who have failed in their life by committing crimes. Ended up in a rehab center. And football changed their life. Giving them a grasp of success in life. "This is the Mustangs, you do it my way!"

Finally, one of the best movies of all time. Freedom Writers.
I seriously do not know how to explain the synopsis. But this movie is damn good in making the audiences weep.



I gotta buy a DVD of Freedom Writers. Seriously.

What is friend for when you need them, you are invincible?!

The day we had Applied Tech class, we were taught on how to curve a carrot. Seriously Kar Phang, I need your assistance like immediately! I definitely got no techniques on curving. I was so damn frustrated when I couldn't get in into shape. Seriously, very frustrated. I tried like 2 carrots, radish, potato, but still no good results. I was so damn frust, coz I really love Culinary Arts, even basics I can't even master, what will ever happen if I am major in Culinary Arts? I am so mad at myself at that point.



These are the carrots,radish and potatoes they supplied for learning to curve. I really tried, but still I couldn't finish the right techniques!!! GahhhhhH!

And there, that's the perfect curve, done by Chef Tan. This is the point of the class on that day. Curving and the right strokes.



Class ended with me not mastering the curves yet. Damnit. Kar Phang, let's meet up and lets come up with some food.


Then I had a round 2(final) assessment on culinary the next day. Phew, gratefully or maybe by luck I improved by 2 points! Well, the first assessment I had 8/12, so ya, now I have 10. Actually I could have gotten full marks. Stupid me, I screwed cisele. Gahhhh.



And that's the recipe du jour. Well, my personal favourite is gotta be the risoler!

We started off with "sweating of the carrots". Any carrot lover? Then this is the definite meal for you. LOL. Served in small portion still basically okay. More than that, oh man. Hell no.



Then the results. Soft, sweet with no extra flavoring. :D



Then you have to multi-task.



And of course, a picture of yourself "busy". xD



And dayumm.. The mashed potato made by Chef Tan was so effing delicious!! Seriously, even without the gravy, we finished the whole big pot!! Damn yummy!!

Thats all I guess for that day. We went vegetarian on that day. Everything is vege.
Can't wait to actually know exactly how to cut a chicken, lamb or anything. xD
